Green Building Index course to bring green knowledge to Sarawak

KUCHING: The first Sarawak Green Building Index course will be held at the CIDB Convention Centre Sarawak from tomorrow until Saturday (March 7-9). Organised by Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia Sarawak Chapter (PAMSC) and the Malaysia Green Building Confederation (MGBC), the course is in support of Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg's green initiatives. Penang to reward developers who build green

THE Penang government will reward developers of green buildings, state local government exco Jagdeep Singh Deo said. Developers with new buildings awarded the Green Building Index (GBI) gold or platinum rating before January 1, 2022, will receive a two-thirds rebate on the developmental charges they pay to local councils, he said. Pushing for more green buildings

DEVELOPERS whose projects have Green Building Index (GBI) certification in Penang will be eligible for rebates on assessment fees and development charges until 2021. Penang Island City Council (MBPP) mayor Yew Tung Seang said the rebates would be given only to buildings certified by the GBI Accreditation Panel (GBIAP) in the gold and platinum categories. A first privately built Green Building Index office in Sarawak

KUCHING: With a focus on advanced technology and innovation, Hock Seng Lee Bhd (HSL) is going for Green Building Index (GBI) certification for its new headquarters. Located at the Kuching-Samarahan Expressway, HSL Tower will be one of eight GBI-certified buildings in Sarawak and the first privately built GBI office when completed next year. Read more
