Ar Serina Hijjas is a director of Hijjas Kasturi Associates Sdn with over 20 years of experience in the field of architectural planning & design. Graduated from Bartlett School of Architecture and University of Sydney joined Foster & Partners in London for a three-year stint before returning to Malaysia. Serina Hijjas have been active in the area of Energy Efficiency and Sustainable design since her formative years in architectural practice in London. Awardee of three Asean Energy Efficiency Awards: the 55 storey Telekom Malaysia Headquarters Building (2005); First Runner-Up Securities Commission HQ (2003) and First Runner-Up Putrajaya International Convention Centre (2007). Works extends to Ericsson Building, Putrajaya Lighting and Water masterplan, AIMST University in Malaysia, Shell Headquarters and Celcom Tower. One of the latest of projects includes the new Herriot Watt University campus at Putrajaya with an amazing green roof and total landscape footprint of 80%.

She is a founding member of the Green Building Index (GBI) and is part of the GBI Accreditation panel. Ar. Serina lectures on Rethinking Sustainability and is a working member on the formation of the Township Green Building Index tool and Reference Guides for Malaysia.

Ir. Dr Jayaseelan Nadarajah is the Principal of a local consulting engineering practice. He has vast experience in the design, operations and maintenance of cold and hot water and sanitary plumbing systems, fire protection and air-conditioning systems for building services and industrial plants.

He was a recipient of the Association of Overseas Technical Scholarships (AOTS) award on two occasions, awarded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. Ir. Dr Jayaseelan was also a member of the working group to draw up the energy efficiency and energy conservation guidelines for pumps and compressors for Malaysian industries organized by the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, Pusat Tenaga Malaysia, and the Ministry of Energy, Water and Communications.
He graduated from the University of Malaya, Leeds Polytechnic, UK and Universiti Putra Malaysia and holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Masters in Engineering and an Industrial Doctorate in Engineering.

Ir. Dr Jayaseelan is a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers (BEM), Malaysia, member of the Association of Consulting Engineers, Malaysia (ACEM) and a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM). He is also a Certified Energy Manager, registered with the Energy Commission of Malaysia, a Chartered Engineer of Australia (CPEng), an APEC Engineer and an International Professional Engineer (Int’l PE).


Ar. Boon Che Wee is a Past President of Malaysian Institute of Architects (Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia, PAM), and Past Chairman of the Accreditation Panel of Green Building Index (GBI), Malaysia’s national rating for Green Buildings.

He is also a member of the National Professional Services Export Council (NAPSEC), and has also served as a member of the Board of Architects Malaysia and the Board of Town Planners Malaysia, as well as the ASEAN Architect Council, and the APEC Architect Council.

An advocate of green and design as the key differentiators in the nation’s competitiveness, he has led PAM and GBI to extend the reach of Malaysia’s green and design initiatives, and speaks often on these subjects locally and abroad.

Ar. Boon Che Wee graduated from the University of Melbourne Australia with both Bachelor of Architecture (Hons.) and Bachelor of Planning & Design, and is a Professional Architect and a Director of GRA Architects based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.


Ar Chan Seong Aun is a senior practicing Architect and Director of Arkitek Daya Seni Sdn Bhd, an architectural firm established in 1984. He was a member of the SIRIM working committee that updated MS 1525:2001 to its latest 2014 version. He is the President of PAM and PAM representative on the CIDB Working Committee that updated QLASSIC to CIS7:2006 its 2006 version. He has represented PAM in various committees in KPTK, KTAK and SIRIM and he is also one of the members of MGBC. Ar Chan is the team leader for the GBI Residential Tool.


Ar Lee Chor Wah is currently a principal lecturer at TARUC, one of the directors of Pentas Reka Sdn Bhd and an advisor to MCT. He was a former CEO of SN Low & Associates Sdn Bhd and is also a Past President of the Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM). He was also a board member of the Board of Lembaga Akitek Malaysia (LAM) as well as Vice President of Fiabci Malaysia in 2008 – 2009.

Graduated from the University of New South Wales, Australia with a B. Arch (Hons) degree, he had worked with Philip Cox, a renowned architectural practice in Sydney before returning to Malaysia. Upon his return in 1992, Ar Lee joined GDP Architect as a Senior Architect. Moving ahead, he joined TAK Design Consultants Sdn Bhd in 1995. As the Chief Designer, he was involved in the Putrajaya Masterplan, Malaysia. And in Sarawak he was involved in the Beverly Park City Hotel in Bintulu, Brighton Condominium in Miri, and the Hock Lee Centre in Kuching.

Aspiring to have his own practice and direction, Ar Lee opened his own practice in 1998 under the name of Lee Chor Wah Architect with projects ranging from restaurants and residential interiors, bungalows, housing and master planning.

In year 2003, he joined Woods Bagot Malaysia Sdn Bhd as the Country Manager/Project Director where he showcased his innovative design skills for the interiors of Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Other projects undertaken then were the Senai Desaru Toll Plazas and Rest and Recreation Buildings in Johor Bahru, and the Seri Residence in Bangsar in Kuala Lumpur.


Prior to his appointment as the CEO/Director in SN Low & Associates, he was the Senior Vice President/Chief Designer at Reng Design Group Sdn Bhd and Director/Chief Designer with TAK Design Consultants Sdn Bhd. At TAK he was in charge of various mega master planning and architecture projects in Pakistan and the UAE such as the GHQ Masterplan and Buildings in Islamabad and the 110-storey Burj Al Alam in Dubai.


Ir. Chong Chew Fan is a practicing Electrical Engineer and Director in Greatians Consulting Sdn. Bhd., an Electrical & Mechanical Consulting Engineering Firm based in Selangor. He graduated with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

He is a Professional Engineer registered with Board of Engineers, Malaysia and National Water Services Commission and Registered Electrical Energy Manager with Energy Commission.

He has been involved in design, contract administration, project management and consultancy for the past 15 years. He has vast experience in infrastructure and building works including green building and sustainable designs, housing development, mixed development, office and commercial buildings, water and wastewater, railways, highways and roads.

Ir. Chong is currently the Council Member of Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM) and active member in various technical committees and working groups in ACEM, IEM, SIRIM, BEM and CIDB.


Sr Kwan Hock Hai is a Registered Quantity Surveyor and currently serves in 2 committees in the Board of Quantity Surveyor Malaysia. He has held many executive positions in Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia over the years and is now representing RISM as Vice Chairman of the Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors (PAQS).

He graduated from Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh. He is a founding Director of the QS practice Perunding PCT Sdn Bhd and has worked on projects all over Malaysia, ASEAN countries and China.


Ir. Song Perng Yeu is a registered Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate (PEPC) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Civil) from The University of Adelaide, Australia in 1998.

He is currently the Principal of Jurutera Perunding Bumireka, a civil and structural engineering consulting firm based in Sabah and has been practising for more than 20 years involving in many projects from high end residential and mix developments to water supply and treatment plants as well as road and highway.

Ir. Song is currently an Executive Committee Member of Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia Sabah Branch, ACEM (S) and immediate past chairman of Malaysia Green Building Council Sabah Chapter, MalaysiaGBC Sabah Chapter. He is actively serving in various technical committees in government agencies representing ACEM (S) and MalaysiaGBC Sabah Chapter.


Ir. Kuah Kee Hong is a registered Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate (PEPC) with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia and holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Civil) from the Universiti Sains Malaysia in 1994.

He is currently the Engineering Director in Sepakat Setia Perunding Sdn Bhd (SSP), a multidiscipline Consulting Engineering firm at Seri Kembangan, Selangor and has been a practicing engineer for 26 years involving in many large scale projects such as industrial plants, railway stations & depots, aircraft hangar, commercial development, water and sewerage treatment plant structures.

Ir. Kuah is currently a Council Member of Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM) where he is serving as the Chairman of the Information Communication & Technology (ICT) Sub-Committee. He is also actively serving in various technical committees and working groups in CIDB.
